Keep Day For Life In Your Prayers

The primary purpose of Day for Life day as described by the late Pope John Paul II in his Encyclical Letter Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life) is "to foster in individual consciences, in families, in the Church, and in civil society, a recognition of the meaning and value of human life at every stage and in every condition." (EV#85)

Please keep this main purpose and the success of the respective days in your prayers (Scotland – 31st May, England & Wales – 1st July, Ireland – 7th October)

Day for Life Prayer

We invite all visitors to this website to join in with the Day for Life prayer, which is shown below.

We thank you, Lord, for the Gift of Life.

Every human life is your gift to the world.

Each person is unique, with a task you have entrusted to them alone.

Help us always to promote the basic rights of all, and to recognise that we are all parts of One Body, dependent upon one another, and called to share a common life.

Amen.
